Green Products or Services: Ecology Action (www.growbiointensive.org), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is in its thirty-seventh year acting as a resource for food localization in the U.S. and the world.

During these years, Ecology Action has developed and refined GROW BIOINTENSIVE Sustainable Mini-Farming, a low-technology, organic form of food-raising consisting of simple methods based on sophisticated science. The techniques provide people with a way to grow more food than conventional methods allow, and in a small space using simple tools, while maintaining or increasing the health and productivity of the soil! As a result of Ecology Action’s teaching outreach, people in over 141 countries are using the method in virtually all climates and soils where food is grown.

The center for this work is located above the beautiful Willits valley in California, where Ecology Action has its Headquarters and Research, Demonstration and Training Mini-Farm and its international mail order service, Bountiful Gardens (www.bountifulgardens.org).

Ecology Action’s Common Ground Garden Supply, Education Center and Demonstration Garden (www.commongroundinpaloalto.org) is in Palo Alto, California, a short drive south of San Francisco.
